The Andreas van Zoelen collection
Note the interesting speaker keys in the bottom half of this instrument! According to Dullat (p. 95, see below), this was patented by Hüller in 1929.
The construction year of this instrument is an estimate, based on the information (p. 100) from Günter Dullat’s excellent book “Faszination Saxophon”. (Verein der Freunde und Förderer des Musikinstrumenten-Museums Markneukirchen e.V., 2016).
In this book you can find virtually everything there is to know about saxophone construction in Germany throughout the decades.

I’ve spent years collecting, researching, and preserving saxophones, each with its own unique story. My goal with this website is to make this knowledge publicly available to saxophone lovers and researchers alike. I hope you find as much joy in this collection as I have in creating it.
