Notes on this instrument

I bought this instrument towards the end of my studies in the Netherlands in the early 2000’s. I needed a more reliable and professional saxophone. After a day of trying out many different saxes together with my friend Ties Mellema, driving his Volvo through Holland, I ended up choosing this one. It has always been a very trustworthy companion, and for a long time was my go-to instrument for orchestra work. I think Yanagisawa does an excellent job, and is still very consistent when it comes to quality of their instruments.

This instrument was overhauled a few years ago by Nico Bodewes in Amsterdam.
