Notes on this instrument

I purchased this instrument from Leo van Oostrom, in 2021.

In this television recording (video below), from 1980, he used this instrument for Peter-Jan Wagemans’ Saxophone Quartet, opus 8.

During the research for my book about the classical saxophone in the Netherlands (2013), I looked for instruments that were built in the Netherlands, or where imported and branded there, like this one. According to Dulf Schenkelaars, son of the found of the Schenkelaars company, these sopraninos were built by Beaugnier in France.  You can also find my articles written about dutch made saxophones!
