“…1845 treasurer of committee of five makers formed to litigate against A. Sax, signatory of letter to War Ministry protesting about him; 1854 brass instruments allegedly made in contravention of Sax patents were seized […], from 1859 licensed to build Sax-model brass instruments; 1861 died, it being later alleged that problems connected with Sax led to his death.”
