The Andreas van Zoelen collection
Buescher made this instruments in the 1950s. They intented to build a fairly simple and cost effective instrument, hence its nickname “Simple Simon”. There are no keys for alternative fingering, no low Bb/B, and no palmkeys. Because of the fact that the tube has less toneholes, these saxophones have a very rich sound, and are easy to control.

I’ve spent years collecting, researching, and preserving saxophones, each with its own unique story. My goal with this website is to make this knowledge publicly available to saxophone lovers and researchers alike. I hope you find as much joy in this collection as I have in creating it.
