Notes on this instrument

A very interesting instrument, which shed some more light on German saxophone manufacturing.
This instrument is, apart from it being slightly larger, an exact copy of the Max Keilwerth tenor from my collection.
Max Keilwerth, after he founded his own company in 1926, supplied saxophones for Wunderlich.
Based on the information provided by Dullat*, this saxophone is from the early 1930s.

This Wunderlich saxophone plays very well, has a sweet tone, and plays perfectly in tune. A delightful instrument!
