The Andreas van Zoelen collection
I have looked for an instrument like this for over 30 years.
This instrument and I have great plans together!
In the instrument gallery, you can find a picture of the contrabass together with my 1935 Buescher Aristocrat alto, to get a feel for the incredible size of this instrument. Also, you can see a picture of the neck and mouthpiece of the contrabass, together with a very special Buescher soprano. This is the saxophone that Christine Rall plays in the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet, that was gifted to her by Carina Raschèr: it was Carina’s one and only soprano that was built for her by Buescher, given to her by her father.

I’ve spent years collecting, researching, and preserving saxophones, each with its own unique story. My goal with this website is to make this knowledge publicly available to saxophone lovers and researchers alike. I hope you find as much joy in this collection as I have in creating it.
