The Andreas van Zoelen collection
A truly wonderful instrument, in it is such great condition! It was expertly overhauled by Nico Bodewes in Amsterdam. It is setup exactly the same way as my other Buescher Aristocrat I tenor. This saxophone is my backup instrument for my work in the Raschèr Saxophone Quartet. In the gallery you can see a picture of the bell how it looked before the overhaul.
It’s interesting to compare the lacquered Aristocrat and this silver plated one. It feels to me like this silver one has a bit more projection, but the lacquered one has a good bit more flexibility.

I’ve spent years collecting, researching, and preserving saxophones, each with its own unique story. My goal with this website is to make this knowledge publicly available to saxophone lovers and researchers alike. I hope you find as much joy in this collection as I have in creating it.
